MHFA Refresher Training
This course is suitable for anyone who has previously completed an Adult MHFA, Armed Forces MHFA, or MHFA Champion training course.
If you are a Mental Health First Aider or MHFA Champion you have skills for life that support you and the people around you.
We believe that mental health should be treated equally to physical health – and just like physical first aid, Mental Health First Aid training should be kept up to date.
It is recommended that Mental Health First Aiders and MHFA Champions attend a Refresher course every 3 years.

Important Reminder
Health, Safety & Wellbeing
The health, safety and wellbeing of our delegates, staff, and everyone else we work with is our top priority.
As you will know from previous study, this course will cover material which may be emotionally triggering.
We strongly recommend you identify someone who could potentially support you during or after the course if you need it. Please take some time to identify this person before the course starts.
If your employer / company offers an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), please use it if you need to. They are often 100% confidential, and are there for you to use!
Due to the sensitive and personal nature of this training course, at all times we expect all delegates to treat others with respect, treat any information shared in strict confidence, and help promote a “safe and supportive” space throughout.
When and Where we Offer the Training
We offer both online and classroom-based training with regular dates every month, and we are licensed to train up to 25 people.
However, due to Covid-19, the number of people on our courses may be capped at a lower level to operate safely.
Looking for private training or group classes for yourself or your staff?
We’re flexible on when and where we can deliver training, so we should be able to accommodate a time, date and place that meets your requirements. Classroom and online training is available as a private group / corporate booking.
Email us at training@sheqworx.co.uk or call us on 0770 777 8998 and we’ll be happy to discuss how we can help.

Meet your Trainer
Hello! I’m Andrea
As a practicing Health and Safety professional, I’ve been delivering various health and safety training courses, inductions, and workshops over the years, and it’s such a privilege to be able to offer this one.
I became a Mental Health First Aider (and licensed MHFA Trainer) in March 2019. Since qualifying, I’ve had to use the MHFA training more than half a dozen times, and that’s more than I’ve needed to use my physical first aid training which I’ve held for over 20 years!
Even though the course materials don’t change, no two MHFA courses are the same, and it’s our delegates that make the difference – especially when they openly share their real-life experiences. Don’t worry though, you don’t have to share anything, or can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable doing. There’s really no pressure.
In a nutshell, my life’s work has been about keeping people safe and healthy at work, and businesses legally compliant.
I’ve been a single parent for the most part of the last 21 years, which has been challenging at times – legally, financially, and emotionally. It’s also been hugely rewarding watching kiddo develop and leave to start his own life’s journey.
Since 2013 I’ve been discovering in real terms how food affects our overall health – mind, body, and soul – and the affects are astounding! I had no idea just how badly the food I was eating was damaging my health – and I was following the Government’s recommendations!
So, in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic with mental health issues and Type 2 Diabetes on my professional radar for workers, I co-founded a new business with Alex, called Nature’s Way Lifestyle Ltd (NWL).
We now guide and support people towards a happier, healthier version of themselves, and that’s pretty awesome! Take a look, we might be able to help you on your journey towards a better lifestyle for you and your family too. We even get to reduce the impact we’re having on the planet too! How good is that?! (Check us out on Facebook and Instagram @natureswaylifestyle.)
It’s a real passion project of ours.
I managed to get rid of my eczema, AND reduce the symptoms and severity of my anxiety and depression. There were other benefits too like having more energy, getting rid of joint aches and pains, mental clarity and much more besides!
What can we help you with?
